Intellectual Property Office Includes FilingCosts

Trademark applications in Macau must be filled out in Portuguese or Chinese. If the trademark utilizes words, those words must be written in Portuguese, Chinese, or English unless it is a trademark intended for use outside of Macau. Confused yet? We’re not surprised. Trademark law is, by nature, complicated and intricate. Every jurisdiction has its quirks.Another quirk of Macau is that even though it is technically a part of China, registering a trademark in Macau gives you no protection in Mainland China (which itself could be called the Wild West of trademark jurisdictions — anything goes). We will help you navigate these complexities and confusions and make sure your journey through Macau’s trademark registration waters is as smooth as possible.
